Transformation barriers: According to The World Economic Forum

Two weeks ago, we discussed the skills on the rise for the period of 2025 – 2030, that will shape the future workforce. Today, let's connect that directly to a major challenge: organizational transformation.

Driving change is essential for leaders, but it does not always happen smoothly. According to the World Economic Forum, the top two barriers are:

1.      Skill Gaps in the Labour Market (63% of employers): This is where our discussion on "skills on the rise" becomes critical. Without intentionally developing or acquiring these emerging capabilities, your transformation efforts will inevitably slow.

2.      Organizational Culture & Resistance to Change (46% of employers): Even with the right skills, a culture hesitant to embrace new ways can slow down progress.

Effectively navigating these barriers means strategically investing in upskilling and reskilling for the skills on the rise, while simultaneously fostering a culture that embraces continuous learning and adaptation.

What skills are you prioritizing to break through your transformation barriers?
